Short description: a tom with green eyes, his fur is short and that of a grey tabby.
Physical Description:
the thing to be mentioned about smokeleaf is how handsome he is deemed to be. he has what some others deem to be the most well-groomed pelt and this is something he really likes and tries to keep it like this. his colouring is grey tabby, with dark grey striping which easily sticks out from his layer of lighter grey beneath.he has green eyes, as light as the grass and they are always filled with a curious look. his ears are regularly sized and stand tall though in his right ear he is completely deaf, something that upsets him but he tries to live with. he often finds that he mishears his clanmates and has to apologise for this. smokeleaf is a thin cat with big paws and this makes him look a little comical.Personality:smokeleaf is a kind tom who is always trying to cheer up his clanmates when he sees them feeling upset. he hates sadness, especially after he had so much of it when he was young. it always hurts him to hear anyone sobbing and he feels it's his place to try and comfort everyone, because no one did when he was little and he doesn't want anybody to be as sad as he felt.but everyone has their bad traits and his is that he can snap easily when he is feeling annoyed. he doesn't mean to do it but listening to someone when he just isn't in a good mood can drive him to it and afterwards, he feels guilty for it and will apologise as soon as he next sees the one he upset.he is, and always has been, loyal. no person or thing could make him betray his clan or the warrior code, whether it was one of his kits asking him to or prey that has run into another clan's territory. smokeleaf is always wary about what he's doing because of this as he does not want to do anything that will get him punished.finally, onto the last thing. the medicine cat is a procrastinator and whilst he does not get distracted from his duties, other things such as passing on a message he will forget about, due to him being worried about doing everything else right.History:lilyface and moleclaw were in love, once. they were both young and foolish, so did not think about a future together and focused on the current moment. so when lilyface was only fourteen moons, she was distraught to discover that she was expecting the older tom's kits. she had only just become a warrior and now she would have to stop doing her duties. by the time she had given birth to her two sons (smokekit and goosekit), moleclaw had tried to win her around into loving him. his attempts had failed though and she said she didn't feel like she could love him but that they could still be friends.the kittens were healthy and strong. lilyface would often sit and watch the two playing in the camp, with moleclaw never too far away. they were either playing or listening to stories, whether they were from the elders or other young kits who were making up that they had gone out of camp and fought badgers and foxes. however, as they grew nearer to apprentice age, goosekit grew ill and died just three days before they were about to become 'paws. this left the family distraught and whilst they tried to act okay, they were not. smokekit did not have long to grieve before the ceremony rolled around. he had been meant to get his apprentice name with his brother, but that was not to be and smokekit hoped goosekit was watching him from his place among the stars.dewfeather was chosen as his mentor. she was a lovely cat and became smokepaw's friend more or less straight away. it was around this time that he befriended an elder, swanear, and she taught him various herbs that she had learned throughout her life along with their uses. he never thought much about what being a healer might be like as he was training to become a warrior. he couldn't wait to receive his warrior name and worked hard, until at last, he got it. he was smokewhisker, named for his great skill in hunting. after being attacked by a badger at eight moons, it was thought that he would have been scared out of it but to everyone's shock, it didn't seem to affect him much at all.the new warrior, fearful of the others, befriended another warrior going by the name of tansycloud. she was a lovely cat and it did not take smokeleaf long to fall for her. she was soon his best friend and he tried to spend as much time with her as possible. they would go hunting together and sit talking throughout the entirety of their free time. no one was shocked at all when tansycloud announced she was pregnant and smokewhisker was the happiest tom ever. no amount of planning could help them on the day - tansycloud refused to let smokewhisker into the nursery and so he paced around the camp anxiously. eventually she had finished kitting and there was three kits - honeykit, goldenkit, both of which looked like their mother, and beetlekit. the queen grew fearful after the kitting and overwhelmed by the litter. smokewhisker tried to tell her everything would be fine but she would not listen and a day later, she left the clan.smokewhisker was hurt and angry about tansycloud's decision. he loved her and yet it seemed that she didn't love him. he found himself spending time with swanear once more, venting about his hurt. she helped him to look after his two daughters and son, watching over them whilst he went on hunting patrols. so one day when she disappeared and never came back, smokewhisker was shocked and felt lonelier than ever. his mate, his best friend; everyone was leaving him.
it was a few moons later when thicketstar rose to power and demoted the current medicine cat hollynight who had been promoted by a panicked coalheart after the passing of brittlebreeze. the role was left empty for a while but eventually the leader decided to promote someone and this was smokewhisker. he was renamed smokeleaf and though he was concerned for as to how he would handle his fatherhood role as well as take care of the sick and injured, he accepted it. his kits now twenty moons old, the thirty-seven moon old tom is relieved that he was selected for the position now instead of when his children were two or three moons old. that would have made things much harder, even harder than it is going to be now.OOC name: mythTimezone: gmtTag: SPLISH SPLASH
