long ago, lightning struck this great tree and cracked it from its trunk. it is now a place for apprentices to train with their mentors, and a good hiding spot from foxes and badgers, as the ash disguises shadowclan scent.

the carrionplace is never touched unless problems require cats to hunt here. usually only a food source during leafbare, the carrionplace is infested with crows, diseased mice, and other terrible tragedies. it is the clan's deep, dark, secret, and they feel it is dishonoring that they must eat from here, but their territory is too small to risk losing it.
