1-17-2016, after the deadly coven battle, the four clans are once again at peace, each trying to regain control of their former situations. the newly made leader, russetstar, accepted hickoryfoot and palesmoke into riverclan, making them medicine cat and deputy, respectively. bramblestar has taken a more backseat approach to the previous forest drama, choosing not to interfere with the riverclan. 

recently, cats have become ill and no one understands why, but there is one similar factor in all reported cases: they drank from the banks of the river. riverclan is now warned to beware of the water source, as increased winter rainfall has run oil and garbage into the shallows, contaminating the drinking source and food. many fish are ill and starving because the disease does not allow them to process nutrients, which is how it is killing other clan cats: they simply starve, because no matter how much they eat, their body cannot absorb what it needs and so they whither into nothingness...

what can be done about this epidemic? no cat knows for sure.
