Short description: An aging and thin orange tabby with green eyes.
Physical Description: Jayleaf looks far older then he is. of course, he is pretty old, but his thinning pelt and thin limbs leave him looking as though he should have turned to dust moons ago. But he is strong of heart and continues to fight on. Jayleaf is an orange tabby, although his fading ginger pelt is no longer the flame it once was. More white then orange now, Jayleaf is barely recognizable.
His green eyes are fading as well as cataracts have begin to set in. Despite this, he still moves around and continues to fend for himself. His tail is kinked near the middle of it's length, although this was not the result of any accident; he was born with it and many thought it was odd he wasn't named for it. However his mother didn't want him to be labeled by an issue he couldn't control.
Personality: Jayleaf was once a fierce warrior but in his time since retiring he has mellowed out and become more of the 'wise old elder' that everyone knows and loves today. He is always up for a story and he loves when kits come to visit him. Even more so, he loves when his own kit comes to see him. But Jayleaf is well aware that Bramblestar is busy playing leader and that he doesn't always have time for the old man.
Jayleaf is emensly proud of where his only son has come to land himself in life. It's nearly every cat's dream to be leader and baby Bramblekit was no different. Seeing his dream a reality brings warmth to Jayleaf he can't describe. Of course, when Bramblestar won't visit him, the old cat is not afraid to go out and visit the leader. Although he cannot make the jump up to the leader's den anymore, he is happy to sit outside and wait for Bramblestar to leave so he can catch him in a guilty need to do as his father asks.
Jayleaf can be a bit unbearable as a dad, really. He is that iconic dad though, not afraid to tell stupid jokes or to groom his leader-son in public. With his mate gone, Jayleaf has taken it upon himself to be as embarrassing as physically possible.
